Why does RROD and YLOD occur?
Underneath the GPU and CPU are hundreds of solder balls, these directly connect the chip to the motherboard. As you can image they are quite delicate due to a lack of lead in the solder they were manufactured with.
Without Lead these solder balls are susceptible to cracking over time due to the constant heating and cooling conditions when powering the console on and off.

So how do you fix the cracked solder joints?
Under the strictest of conditions the solder balls are liquified with the use of a very special flux and "Reflowed" onto the pads of the Mother Board, this generally repairs the problem and it should not return for many years.
If a Reflow does not accomplish a repair it is likely the GPU was damaged at the time of RROD or YLOD, in this case it is preferable to replace the chip in it's entirety with a newly Reballed chip, this chip should have Leaded solder balls as they are far more resistance to the type of heat stress that cause the balls to crack. The process of replacing the solder balls is called a "Reball".

Technical Information & equipment
I use a professionally modified rework station to repair all Game Consoles. We use proper support boards and temperature profiles so your machine is returned to you very close to the condition you bought it in when it left the shop. Sometimes even better!!!.
I pride myself on my professionalism and you will not find the repairs I conduct on Youtube, or in some cheap ebay guide, I conduct scientific repairs.
WARNING:
Most of the repairs offered worldwide are outright dangerous with most involving the installation of un-neccesary kits that actually end up crushing both the CPU and GPU chips under the heatsinks.
Heat Guns also appear prevalent in this type of D.I.Y. repair.. Yes you heard correct a Heat Gun (the thing used to strip industrial grade paint) this is deadly for weakening/destroying all components on the board, warping the board and weakling the solder joints that need the be strengthened
These mutilations will ultimately only damage your console further, they might work for one or two months but the problem that caused the problem will still be there and one day will return.
